You take a Napa…You don’t move to Napa!

I’m home in San Francisco today enjoying a productive and relaxing Sunday after a truly great week!

Once the weekend rolled around it was time to take the first trip of the year up to Napa for some fun with friends…

Loved these light fixtures at the yummy Farmstead restaurant…

Being home this week...I actually managed to get Buck to sit still for a picture or two so he could make his debut on the blog!!!!

Until next week!

I hope you dance...

Five States/Districts covered this week alone to end this jammed packed 17 days on the road…this week included a 3rd consecutive week of spending time with some Rocks (even if not the best of circumstances – time with Rocks is always a bonus), a productive work schedule, and some time in what is becoming like a second home…New York City.

It wasn’t a week that I felt inspired to take too many pictures…rather this week my inspiration came more from the people in my life…

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give fate a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

-Lee Ann Womack

…I have always considered the people in my life among my greatest blessings…this week reminded me of that…and their importance to me…and for the importance to always remember to dance…and I have hope that all of them will continue to make the choice to dance in their lives as well…from Ballet to Belly dancing and everything in between…I hope they dance.

Because this blog was designed to be more photos than words…here are a few glimpses from my couple of days in NYC…

NYC’s take on Mardi Gras perhaps?!!? Hard to believe this 17 day expedition started in New Orleans!

A partially frozen NYC…getting ready for Spring to arrive perhaps?!

And what is a week without a little Target fun?!

Blogging from 30,000 feet thanks to GoGo Inflight…looking forward to seeing Buck (among many others) and having a great week back in Cali Cali!

From Cupcakes to the Shooting Range…

...it was a busy week!

Based out of beautiful Washington D.C. this week I was busy with great appointments in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. It was an added bonus Mimi also joined me for a few big presentations and I got to spend the weekend in Salisbury with Ashley and Dave!

In DC Mimi’ and I got to take a break at Georgetown Cupcakes…where the show DC Cupcakes is filmed!

Yum!

Going out Saturday night only Dave would be able to pull this off…

The bar,
Market Street
, had some amazing signs…

Always up for trying new things…Sunday morning I let Dave and Ashley take me out shooting for the first time…Dave gave great safety lessons with the 22…

He was also a brave man showing me how to use the 9 Mil…

Pleased to report everyone and thing ended the day safe and sound!

I wonder what next week has in store!

Happily Ever After Begins!!!

This past week I gathered with my 11 rocks and handfuls of some of my favorite Delta Gamma’s in Louisiana to celebrate Emily and Chris starting their married life together!

I actually didn’t have my camera with me this weekend…so I am borrowing pictures from Liz, Ashley, and Chrissie…this entry will be the first installment of pictures…more will follow shortly!

The fun started off with a night out in New Orleans

Taking in the local flavor on
Bourbon Street
which is geared up for Mardi Gras…

Next up we moved to Covington to kick off the wedding activities and join in rehearsal dinner fun…

Then it was off to the church in Franklinton!

Sara and I had the honor of reading “Love” by Ray Croft for the ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Hester…could not be happier for you two!

Let the festivities begin!

Rocks lovin’ the funfetti cake!

What’s going on over there?!?!

Don’t Stop Believing!

And that’s a wrap on the evening!

An incrediable weekend, with incrediable women, celebrating an incrediable couple! Look forward to sharing more pictures soon!

For now...I'm off to Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia for a productive week of work!

Have a great week!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!!!

My first blog entry…and how fitting I created this blog and doing my first post while at 35,000 feet utilizing GoGo In-flight Internet on a United Airlines Plane from JFK – NYC!

I have toyed with the idea of a blog for years, but either other priorities arose, or I was lacking inspiration or relevancy for it…but last week on a flight from Cleveland, OH to Philadelphia, PA it came to me! The last job I had where I traveled extensively was as a Delta Gamma Collegiate Development Consultant. My mom and others urged me to keep a journal to remember the experience; while I didn’t exactly follow their advice – I created a hybrid of the idea, a ‘photo journal’ – I took over 2,500 pictures to remember the extraordinary year in my life.

Now as I find myself with another amazing opportunity to see the country (well, the Northeast) and live on the go – it came to me…a photo based blog to share the neat places I go and awesome things I see. I have made the commitment to myself that I will post weekly – on Sundays. We’ll see how it goes…some weeks there may be dozens of pictures…others maybe just one! My hope is that I can entertain people, keep friends and family up to date with where I have been, share ideas for good places to check out if you are ever in a particular city, etc – I will have fun with it weekly and see where it develops from there…after all…life is one big adventure, and it’s all about the journey!

This entry is just what it sounds…Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!!! I am on my way home from a productive, fun, and chilly 2 weeks on the road…in which I enjoyed Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

Till next week!
